Candide2 featuring Octobriana

Another October treat, a nice surprise from Czech ground
this month Karel Jerie has published "Candide 2" this little gem that is featuring Octobriana not as the principal character, but nevertheless she appears a lot in the album.

John A. Short did a wonderful job, it is by far the most detailed and complete search I've seen - The book is 116 pages packed with Octobriana illustrations and references - it is a must have for all Octobriana fan, may I say it again ?
A Must have!

Reading the book, I could see the passion John has for Octobriana, in his effort to compile all the various traits of Octobriana into a comics that makes sense.
The other great thing about the book is that John has planted a lot of "opening" for new stories to come...

Just buy the book, you won't regret it - there are 300 copies only, don't wait!

New Octobriana book coming soon

Octobriana underground history

Author John a. Short is currently busy writing a book about public domain, communist super-heroine, Octobriana.

It will be out from Kult Creations later this year.
Here's some art from the new comic strip origin that will be featured in the book (written by me with art by Gabby Noble.)

A little more information about the book : The page size will be roughly A5 : 16.5cm x 24cm.

It's a factual book about the creation of the character and her many uses since her birth (back in 1971).

It will most likely have color pages.

There will be one comic strip written by John and illustrated by (the mysterious) Gabrielle Noble. The full color strip is over 30 pages long and features a 14 pages flashback sequence which covers Octobriana's origin story.

There are rumors of a few industry names offering a few exclusive Octobriana illustrations, and it will be on sale later this year (October 2015, Maybe?!).

Facebook is not your friend

I'm leaving facebook, for good - for people that wish to stay in touch here is my new link tsu.co/octobriana

From the beginning Facebook has shown a pattern of abuse and disrespect.
Blocking my profile because the initial name I used didn't sound like a real name, changing the terms and conditions over and over, selling my personal data to vendors and marketers, ...

Conclusion

It is self-evident that Facebook is acting as an abusive prick. I've seen many people complaining about similar subjects, but staying there ... because they think there is no other alternative social media.

Today I'm putting my foot down. Facebook consider yourself dumped.
This relationship isn't working anymore, I'm out. Evacuation has began.

I won't receive any more invite to play candy crush, well, ... I'm going to have to live with this.
